DominicalDominical is a beach-front town, situated on the South Pacific Coast, just 45km south of Quepos/Manuel Antonio and 35km west of San Isidro de General. Once a small fishing village, the town is now home to a thriving and friendly community. With year-round consistent waves, Dominical is a must for surfers. And the area’s natural beauty, wealth of activities and local amenities, make this a great destination.
The main village of Dominical is small and apart from the famous surf breaks probably wouldn't exist at all. There's only one road into town, which loops off the main road, before returning to the highway. The "town center" consists of a loosely held together string of a half-dozen shops that line the only dirt road that leads down to the ocean side and back. The Pacific Ocean lay at the end of the Dominical "Main Street," as did the setting sun each evening. At the far end of Dominical, almost to Roca Verde, is a remote section of beach that is the epitome of beauty and tranquility. |
