Golfo Dulce Lodge

The Swiss owned and operated Golfo Dulce Lodge is a hidden Ecolodge with 8 rooms surrounded by the primary lowland rainforest and the clear waters of the Golfo Dulce. Located on Playa San Josecito, it is only accessible by boat from either Golfito or Puerto Jimenez. The awe-inspiring natural setting in the middle of the rainforest provides ideal opportunities for hiking and bird watching. After an eventful day you can relax by the pool or in a hammock under a thatched roof rancho by the gulf. Their restaurant offers delicious meals with local flavors. The covered rooftop observation deck on top of the restaurant invites for a drink while observing the abundant wildlife.

The Golfo Dulce Lodge offers two types of accommodations: 5 detached and spacious bungalows with bathroom and a large private veranda including hammock and rocking chair offer comfortable accommodation for up to 3 people. 3 standard rooms with large and private verandas on the edge of the jungle or close to a small freshwater pool host 2 people. The lodge offers guided hikes, boat excursions to the mangroves, a visit to the Botanical Gardens of “Casa Orquideas” and other activities such as horseback riding, sea-kayaking, swimming and much more.
