Selva Verde Lodge

The Selva Verde Lodge, situated near the Sarapiqui River, is surrounded by more than 500 acres of lush, tropical rainforest. It is a peaceful setting, close to Braulio Carrillo National Park and the Organization for Tropical Studies' field station, La Selva. This eco-lodge is ideal for those travelers who are interested in exploring the natural beauty of the area, for birders and hikers. Among the facilities, the hotel offers a bar, restaurant, gift shop, library, small butterfly garden, botanical garden, conference room and hiking trails. The River Lodge rooms rise above the rainforest floor on elevated platforms, and provide striking views of the surrounding flora and fauna. They accommodate up to four guests in twin beds and feature a spacious wooden veranda with hammocks, incredible views, screened windows with privacy shutters, ceiling fan. The newly remodeled rainforest bungalows offer more privacy and are located in the forest near the botanical garden, across the roadway from the main lodge. These rooms are perfect for honeymooners and for those people who desires some extra comfort: they feature air conditioning, spacious screened-in balcony, privacy curtains, coffee maker, refrigerator. All rooms have safe, telephone, private bathroom with hot water.
